ALN Specialist Teacher (Autism) -Cardiff

Staffroom Education are seeking a lively and enthusiastic ALN Teacher (Autism) to make a positive contribution within one of our schools near the centre of Cardiff. An important element of the timetable will be working closely with pupils on the Autism spectrum therefore the successful applicant will have a good working knowledge and understanding of additional learning needs. The position has an immediate start, and is expected to last for at least a term. This is an exciting opportunity that would suit both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers who hold Qualified Teacher Status.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:

  • Comprehensive subject knowledge.
  • A natural ability to inspire learning.
  • Fantastic classroom management skills.
  • An ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils.

Sometimes it can be easy to forget how helpful social media is when it comes to shaping your career but also how effective it is as a tool to help you connect to that career. Science Lab Technician – Newport

Staffroom Education are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Science Lab Technician to work within a secondary school in Newport. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Head of the Science Department and you will work alongside the Teachers within a classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical and administrative support;
  • Ensuring the teacher has everything required to deliver the lesson;
  • Create and prepare resources;
  • Assist pupils during the lessons;
  • Maintain and monitor stock control;
  • To maintain Science equipment in accordance with health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate must have experience in a Science environment as well as an understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety protocols. The key tasks are to support lesson preparation and implementation across the department, together with relevant administration duties related to course-work and department issues.
