ALN Teacher / Cover supervisor needed full time on a temporary contract in Newport.
Staffroom Education are currently shortlisting for a Teacher or Cover Supervisor with experience in Additional Learning needs. This post is full time, on a temporary basis starting January initially for six weeks with the potential to be longer.
We welcome applications from Teachers and Cover supervisors who have knowledge and understanding in ALN, Pupil Referral Units and Inclusion Centres.
The post is within an English medium school in Newport. You will be teaching in the inclusion centre supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will have the ability to promote positive attitudes towards learning, to motivate and to inspire pupils from all social, economic and ethnic backgrounds.

The perfect candidate for this post will have all the skills listed below:
A good understanding of Additional Learning Needs.
Thorough classroom management and behaviour strategies.
Strong communicational skills.
Trained in Team Teach, MAPA or similar qualification.
A passion for promoting positive attitudes towards learning and delivering excellent lessons.
The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils.
Have a positive, supportive attitude and be empathetic in nature.
To remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role.
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection.
Attendance of curricular and extra-curricular events in line with school policy.
A current and clear, fully-enhanced DBS disclosure certificate.
Full registration with the Education Workforce Council.
