Level 3 Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification for a position within one of our Cardiff based Nurseries. This is a full-time, permanent position working between 30-40 hours per week on a rota system.

It is essential that all applications are Level 3 qualified and have extensive experience of working with nursery aged children.

The role responsibilities;

  • Help prepare the classroom before class;

  • Tidy the classroom at the end of the day;

  • Support the teacher when needed;

  • Help with group activities;

  • Help with nappy changing;

  • Provide one to one support as well as working within small groups;

  • Help with administrative tasks;

  • Provide feedback to the teacher on the pupil’s progress;

  • To be aware of the planning and preparation of work;

  • To assist with the development of basic Literacy and Numeracy skills;

  • To provide consistently high quality child care;

  • Provide positive management of children’s behaviour;

  • To develop good relationships with colleagues, children and parents;

  • To monitor and evaluate practices and activities;

  • To work within the requirements of the policies and procedures;

  • Good knowledge and understanding of children;
