Teaching Assistants required for a Nursery in Cardiff

Staffroom Education are currently shortlisting for Teaching Assistants to work in a Nursery located in Cardiff. We welcome applications from Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants who have Childcare qualifications or experience working in Nurseries.   

The post is within a bilingual setting, so we would like both Welsh speakers and English speakers to contact us! The Nursery promotes a caring environment, to make all its pupils feel safe and secure. The perfect candidate for this post will have all the skills listed below:

  • An understanding of Additional Learning Needs is desirable but not essential;

  • The ability to support all staff, and follow planning/timetables;

  • Excellent behaviour strategies;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • The ability to work with groups, or children on a one to one basis;

  • Promote positive attitudes towards learning and build strong relationships with staff as well as children;

  • To remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role;

  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection;

  • A current and clear, fully-enhanced DBS disclosure certificate;

  • Full registration with the Education Workforce Council.
