Nursery Manager needed full time, on a temporary contract in Bridgend.

Staffroom Education are currently shortlisting for a Nursery Manager to work within a busy and thriving Nursery in Bridgend.

This post is full time, on a temporary basis starting as soon as possible. The Nursery is close to the M4, has on-site parking, with great transport links in the area.  

As a Nursery Manager you will be expected to have great understanding of the national curriculum, and at least one years’ experience in Nursery management. You will be expected to provide excellent care to the children who attend, have a high level of enthusiasm for the role, and adhere to all policies and procedures, but most importantly promote equal opportunities for all.

The perfect candidate for this post will have all the skills listed below;

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, or higher;

  • Experience managing Nurseries or similar;

  • Prior experience with administrative work;

  • Undertake day to day leadership of the Nursery, staff and children;

  • Enrol all new children;

  • Adhere to all regulations and policies in line with CSSIW, Environmental Health and Fire Regulations;

  • Have the passion to promote positive attitudes towards learning, and create a safe environment for children to learn;

  • Maintain all records, and ensure they comply with the Children Act;

  • Attend training for professional development when required;

  • Effective communication skills at all time, with staff and parents;

  • Have a current and clear, fully-enhanced DBS disclosure certificate;

  • Full registration with the Education Workforce Council.
